The Swisshome Church of the Evangelical Church of North America was founded in 192 and officially organized by Rev. J.J. Ray in 1938 under the American S.S. Union. Construction of the church began in 1952 and the first service was held in the basement on Easter Sunday in 1954. Four years later, on March 23, 1958, the congregation moved to the upstairs auditorium. The church is guided by the Seven Core Passions, which include Intimate Relationship, Faith-Based Conversations, Intentional Spiritual Growth, Servanthood, Resource Investment, Spiritual Friendship, and Family Faith.
